Pro-Palestine supporters rallied at Playhouse Square on Nov. 20, outside the venue for the "All In Leadership Forum."
About 100 demonstrators called for an end to the war in Gaza and an end to U.S. military support of Israel. Chants were directed at Ohio politicians, including Gov. Mike DeWine, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and U.S. House representative Shontel Brown, who were slated to speak at the event hosted by the Greater Cleveland Partnership. DeWine did not attend.
The protest occurred two days before Israel and Hamas agreed on Wednesday to a four-day ceasefire, during which hostages and prisoners would be exchanged and aid delivered to Gaza beginning on Friday. Qatar, Egypt and the United States mediated the temporary truce.
