Vikings finish 8th at Horizon League championship meet

Cleveland State's Trinity Lamp tied her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles, in a time of 8.75.

The Cleveland State University indoor track and field team closed out the 2026 Horizon League Championship on Sunday, placing eighth overall after two days of competition at Youngstown State.

The Vikings scored 11 team points at the league meet, highlighted by a school-record-tying performance from Trinity Lamp in the 60-meter hurdles.

Youngstown State captured the team title with 165 points, followed by the Milwaukee Panthers with 123 and Purdue Fort Wayne with 107. Lamp's fourth place finish in the 60-m hurdles was the Vikings’ top finish of the weekend. Her time of 8.75 seconds matched her own school record.

In other notable Vikings performances, Ana Crangle placed 11th in 5:04.86 in the mile, while Kayla Crissman followed closely in 12th at 5:07.35. Crangle finished 17th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:17.26. Natalie Keller (21st, 10:27.53), Annabelle Crissman (32nd, 10:42.62), and Sage Colón (43rd, 11:21.32) also competed in the 3,000. 

In field events, Ivana Babic cleared 1.52 meters in the high jump to place 15th overall.

The Vikings closed the championship with an eighth-place finish in the 4x400 relay, as Madison Morris, Leah Hoover, Ky'Renae Matlock, and Olivia Todd combined for a time of 3:54.67.

Cleveland State now shifts its focus to the outdoor season later this spring, preparing for its first outdoor meet as the Vikings build toward the 2026 outdoor Horizon League championship.
