CSU women's tennis drop close match to Milwaukee 4-3
The Cleveland State University women's tennis team lost a close match, 4-3, to the Milwaukee Panthers on the road Saturday.
Cleveland State started strongly, winning the doubles portion of the match, which gave them an early point. Pairs of players Jenna Redmile and Laura Tapia, along with Ella Franz and Melliz Petkova Mustafa, each won their matches to secure the point.
Milwaukee tied things up with the first win in singles play. But CSU's Tapia then won her singles match in straight sets, putting Cleveland State ahead 2-1.
The Panthers responded with another win to tie the score again, before the Vikings' Redmile put CSU ahead 3-2 with her singles' win.
Milwaukee came back once more, winning two of the final singles matches to take the overall victory 4-3.
Cleveland State is at home this weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky Norse and the IU Indy Jaguars in their final home matches of the season.
