CSU women's basketball falls to Arkansas State in WNIT Great 8

Cleveland State's loss ended the team's post-season run, bookending the Vikings' 26-10 record for the year.

The Cleveland State University women's basketball team had its 2025-26 season come to a close Monday, March 30, as they dropped a 71-53 contest at Arkansas State in the WNIT Great 8. The Vikings finished the season with a 26-10 record on the year.  

Colbi Maples led the Vikings with 15 points, while Izabella Zingaro and Ayisse Magassa both added 11 points. Macey Fegan grabbed 12 rebounds, while Sarah Hurley and Ayisse Magassa added eight each.

The Vikings recorded 11 assists on the night, including three each from Paula Pique, Colbi Maples and Ayisse Magassa. Cleveland State tallied nine steals, with five from Paula Pique and two from Colbi Maples.

This was the second straight season that the Vikings advanced to the Great 8 of the WNIT, and the appearance marked the sixth straight postseason trip for the Vikings.

Cleveland State's 26 wins for the season was the team's fifth straight 20-win campaign.
