CSU's Spring 2025 Career Fair connects students with top regional employers
Cleveland State University’s Spring 2025 Career Fair provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore future career paths.
The event, held Feb. 26 in the CSU Student Center, was a pivotal moment for students to network with professionals from diverse industries, allowing them to learn about available job openings, internships, and other professional development opportunities.
Leading regional companies and organizations eager to recruit students for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions were out in force, eager to find potential hires. They included the Cleveland Guardians, FirstEnergy and Akron Public Schools.
"I’ve applied to so many jobs online, but nothing beats meeting employers in person," said one attendee. "It gives you a chance to make an impression beyond just a resume."
The career fair helped bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional experiences, offering students a platform to take proactive steps toward building their careers. With a focus on fostering connections and preparing students for the job market, the event contributed to their overall growth and development as they transitioned from their studies to the workforce.
For many students, the fair served as a crucial step in their professional journey, allowing them to practice interview skills, gain insights into hiring processes, and establish connections that could lead to future employment. Career advisors were also available to provide resume feedback and job search strategies.
Cleveland State University continues to host career fairs as part of its commitment to student success, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce.
