CSU reports another decrease in COVID-19
Cleveland State University reported a decrease in all but one category in the latest update of its weekly COVID-19 dashboard, Feb. 15. Cuyahoga County, home to the university, reported one of the lowest transmission rates in Ohio, down from "high" to "substantial."
The only increase at CSU was the number of students in isolation off campus, which rose from 11 to 13.
Zero students were on campus in isolation. Zero students were in quarantine on or off campus, a decrease of two. No employees were in isolation or quarantine.
The NBA promoted vaccination during All-Star weekend in Cleveland, including at the 2022 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, held Friday at CSU's Wolstein Center.
The Cleveland Department of Public Health posted a tweet reminding everyone of the giveaways for getting vaccinated at one of the designated health centers.

Cuyahoga County sees fall in COVID transmission rate
Cuyahoga County's COVID transmission rate Feb. 15 was 72.14 per 100,000, one of the lowest in Ohio, but still "substantial" according to the CDC and reported by Fox8 News.
The designation of a "substantial" transmission rate for the county was an improvement on the previous week's "high" transmission rate. High spread is reported to be 100 cases for every 100,000 residents.
The methodology that the Centers for Disease Control uses to calculate whether a county's COVID transmission rate is high, substantial, moderate or low can be found here.
The CDC considers a "moderate" transmission rate less than 50 cases per 100,000 residents.
Isolation: An individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 with OR without symptoms and who must isolate for 10 days from either symptom onset or test result, the last 24 hours of which must be fever free and, if symptomatic, symptoms are improving.
Quarantine: An individual who either meets the CDC definition of being a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case or is arriving at CSU from either a domestic hotspot or international location and must quarantine for 14 days from either last known contact with the confirmed COVID-19 case or, in the case of those arriving from hotspot or international locations, the day of arrival.
