Cross country wraps up 2024 season with strong NCAA regional performance
The Cleveland State cross country team concluded its 2024 season on a high note Friday, Nov. 15, finishing second at the NCAA Regional meet in Norton, Ohio, showcasing significant improvements and personal achievements.
Natalie Keller and Ana Crangle led the Vikings, the sixth time this season they finished as the team’s top two runners. Keller placed 98th with a personal-best 6K time of 21:26, while Crangle followed closely in 105th with her personal-best of 21:32.
"Today's meet wrapped up a great season for us, we were able to improve our finish from last year and continue to get better each time we competed," head coach Jason Hudson said. "Natalie and Ana had great races, and I'm proud of how they have performed all year. These two both stepped up to be leaders on the team, and the future is bright for Viking cross country!"
Sage Colòn (23:48) was the next Viking to finish, with Brooke Bechtel (24:09) and Deena Ingrassia (24:09) crossing right after. Ariana Coats (24:13) and Aubrey Evans] (25:51) rounded the lineup.
The meet capped a season highlighted by 16 personal-best performances and eight record book times, setting a promising foundation for the program’s future.
