Cleveland State women’s basketball dominates Ohio Dominican in homecoming matchup
Cleveland State women’s basketball team marked Homecoming Week with an overwhelming 94-52 victory over Ohio Dominican on Saturday. The Vikings, now 3-2 this season, returned to the court after a week-long break, extending their home win streak to 25 games.
Jordana Reisma posted a career-high 24 points, her first 20-point game and added nine rebounds. Mickayla Perdue tallied 23 points, her fourth 20+ point game in the season’s first five matchups. Macey Fegan and Sara Guerreiro contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively. Guerreiro also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out eight assists.
As a team, Cleveland State shot an efficient 54% from the field and totaled 23 assists, including five from Perdue.
The Vikings took control early, using 11 first-quarter points from Reisma to secure a 19-13 lead. Kali Howard extended the margin early in the second quarter before a 6-0 run, capped by jumper Mya Moore gave the Vikings a 10-point advantage.
Mickayla Perdue’s six points closed out the second quarter, helping the Vikings enter halftime with a 40-26 lead.
Cleveland State opened the third quarter with baskets from Reisma and Perdue, with a Fegan layup stretching the lead to 20 points. Destiny Leo, playing in her program-record 236th game, added a 3-pointer, pushing the score to 54-31.
The Vikings dominated the fourth quarter with a 23-8 performance, sealing the 42-point win. Jannah Eissa made her Cleveland State debut, logging two points in four minutes.
