The Game
The Vikings struggled to find their rhythm in the first frame of the game, trailing by 10 points following the first quarter.
Cleveland State began to close the gap when Pique’s layup pulled the Vikings within seven at 22-15 with 7:16 left in the first half.

A 6-2 run to close the half made it 37-32 Cal State Fullerton at halftime.
The Vikings continued to build momentum in the third quarter, outscoring the Titans to tie the game at 52-52 heading into the fourth quarter. Macey Fegan hit a jumper and a pair of Ayisse Magassa free throws in the final minute to even the score.
Cleveland State carried that energy into the final frame, taking its first lead of the night on a Zingaro free throw and a Magassa layup early in the quarter. Maples then hit a three-pointer at the 6:40 mark to extend the Vikings’ lead to 58-53.
Cal State Fullerton regained the lead late in the fourth quarter, but Pique knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to put Cleveland State ahead 64-61 with just over a minute remaining.
