CSU men’s basketball falls to Kent State on the road
The Cleveland State men’s basketball team fell on the road Saturday afternoon at Kent State, 83-77.
The game was tight early before Kent State used a sizeable run to open up a double-digit lead at halftime.
The Vikings mounted a late rally to trim the lead back to single digits but could never get close enough to overtake the Golden Flashes down the stretch. The loss drops Cleveland State to 6-5. Kent State improves to 7-3.
Tristan Enaruna (13) led all scorers in the game with 22 points. Enaruna finished 10-16 from the field. His turnaround jumper at the six-minute mark of the first half put him over the 1,000-point mark in his college career.
Tae Williams (1) finished with 16 points on 7-13 from the field. Williams connected on two of his three three-point tries in the contest. He also added six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Dylan Arnett (12) set a new career high with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field. Arnett achieved this despite being in foul trouble for the majority of the first half.
The Vikings return to the court on Friday, Dec. 15 with a third straight game away from home at Bradley.
