Cleveland State tied the program record Friday with 16 three-pointers and five players in double figures to secure its third straight win.

Cleveland State University earned an 89-82 road win over Green Bay on Friday, Jan. 30, extending its winning streak to three games.

The Vikings (8-14, 4-7 Horizon League) knocked down 16 shots from 3-point range, matching a program record. Cleveland State finished the night shooting 51% overall and surged to 65% accuracy after halftime, connecting on six of eight attempts from beyond the arc in the second half.

Dayan Nessah paced five Vikings in double figures with 18 points and added a game-high nine rebounds, narrowly missing a second consecutive double-double. Jaidon Lipscomb followed with 17 points and shared team-high honors with two steals.

Chevalier Emery and Josiah Harris each scored 15 points off the bench, while Tre Beard added 13 to complete a balanced scoring effort. CSU got 39 points from its reserves and had 20 assists on the night.

The Vikings held a 32-26 edge in rebounding and capitalized early from deep as the game swung back and forth in the opening half. After Green Bay took a brief lead following an early run, Cleveland State responded with timely 3-point shooting by Foster Wonders to regain control.

A late surge allowed the Vikings to build their largest cushion of the first half, taking a 39-27 advantage into the locker room after hitting 10 triples before the break.

Green Bay cut the deficit to three midway through the second half, prompting a Cleveland State timeout. The Vikings answered immediately, restoring momentum with a combination of perimeter shooting and trips to the free-throw line.

The Phoenix pulled within two points with under four minutes remaining, but Cleveland State countered with a decisive run to create separation. The Vikings maintained control in the closing moments to secure the victory.

Cleveland State will continue its Wisconsin road trip Sunday, Feb. 8 with a matchup at Milwaukee. Tipoff is at 3 p.m.
