Tre Gomillion, a starting guard with the Cleveland State men’s basketball team, is taking advantage of the NCAA’s new rules and creating his own brand to push positivity.

With fans now back, the Vicious Vikes, a CSU student club, are looking for recruits to expand and bring an extra level of support and excitement to Cleveland State sporting events.

Cleveland State women’s volleyball dropped two matches in Horizon League play to continue their losing streak.

Cleveland State men's basketball held its media day at the Wolstein Center on Thursday afternoon. The Vikings are coming off last year's historic run where they won the Horizon League and clinched their third ever berth in the NCAA tournament. They will look to block out the hype after being picked to finish first in the Horizon League preseason poll.

Cleveland State introduced its fans to the 2021-2022 basketball teams during the VIKEtober Basketball Showcase at the Wolstein Center on Friday evening. The event featured complimentary giveaways, free food, on-court activities and drew nearly 1,000 people, according to CSU athletics.

Pablo Kawecki's game-winning goal in the 104th minute of double overtime lifted Cleveland State past Robert Morris, 1-0, on Wednesday. It was Kawecki's fourth goal of the season, helping the Vikings remain atop the Horizon League standings.

Cleveland State men's soccer dropped its match to nationally ranked Pittsburgh, 4-0 on Tuesday. The Vikings held firm in the first half, only allowing one goal. The Panthers solved the defense in the second half, running away with the victory.
