The incoming recruiting class for the 2020-21 school year in men’s basketball has been rated number one in the Horizon League, tying with the University of Dayton.

It was a difficult year for the Cleveland State University men’s basketball team, there’s no other way to put it.

It has become a really dark time in the world of sports. Including for college athletes who had their spring season cut short due to the coronavirus. 

The coronavirus pandemic continues to play spoiler to Cleveland State University athletics.  Not only is it affecting athletics, it also is affecting the way the Viking athletic medical staff handles its business.

COVID-19 has had a huge impact in the sports world over the past couple of weeks.

The spring has sprung and sports should be going on. Baseballs should be flying over the fences, sprinters should be getting on the track, and lacrosse players should be celebrating victories. 

The Cleveland State men’s golf team wrapped up the regular spring 2020 season on March 8 and 9 with two matches at the Challenge at Concession Cup in Bradenton, Florida, ranking 10 out of 11 teams.

Cleveland State University alumnus Norris Cole has stayed connected with the university post graduation while continuing to pursue his professional basketball career internationally.
