The Cleveland State University Office of Research welcomed the CSU community to its annual showcase of undergraduate summer research at a poster session in the Student Center Atrium Sept. 18.
The event featured projects funded by the Undergraduate Summer Research Award Program and McNair Scholars Program, two programs that equip undergraduate students with mentorship and research experience.
Students and faculty mentors display more than 70 posters, providing an opportunity for budding researchers to share and discuss their summer work with dozens of attendees.
With projects representing four colleges and nearly 20 different departments, attendees explored a wide variety of topics. Faculty were encouraged to vote in the “Best Poster Contest” with winners receiving prizes. The winners of the contest have not been announced as of Sept. 25.
The event highlighted undergraduate research at CSU, ranging from the influence of golden age hip-hop to underwater adaptive relay optical wireless networking.
