Students gathered to celebrate Women’s History Month by listening to musicians, comedians, and various other performers and speakers at the Campus Activities Board (CAB)’s "Empower Her CSU" event.

The show was the second of a two-part event organized by CAB to kick off Women’s History Month. CAB’s Diversity Events Chair Riley Roubanes took the lead in planning the event.

“Thank you to all the CSU students who are continuously accepting of the diverse student body,” said Roubanes. “I am proud to hold this position where I am able to provide a safe space for everyone across campus and serve the diverse community we have here at CSU.”

CAB Assistant Chair Reem Abumeri hosted the show, in addition to performing a song for the event. Other musical acts included the Punchdrunk Tagolongs, The Katy, The Mungbean, and Shamara Ma’at. Speakers included Mallory McMaster, Zaria Acy, and Councilwoman Tara Samples.

Other acts included stand-up comedy by Kelly Collette and a presentation by the owners of small business The Good Place.
