Some 10,000 people attended the 13th annual Brite Winter festival this year, where punk-rock bands played electrifying music until late at night.

“We are the only public university in the state of Ohio that doesn’t have this rolled out across our enterprise,” CSU Senior Vice President of Business Affairs David Jewell said about multi-factor authentication. Not having it "puts us at a high level of risk.”

Women’s History Month kicked off on March 1, celebrating the accomplishments of women throughout the world and throughout history. The theme for 2023 is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”

The CSU women’s basketball team had a historic season as they won the Horizon League Tournament and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. The men’s team fell just short.

“It is our hope that this will be a great opportunity for survivors to feel supported, heard and seen by the campus community,” CSU’s Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center assistant director, Evie DuVernay, said.

“In Career Development and Exploration, it is our vision to best serve all CSU students by providing relevant and forward thinking programs,” Brittany Wampler, director of CSU's Career Development and Exploration office, told The Stater.

Cleveland State University's fourth annual Project 400 Our Lived Experience hosted a series of panels Feb. 24 to discuss issues facing Black communities in Cleveland as part of Black History Month. Discussions centered around the theme of, "Our Bodies, Our Minds, Our Communities: Physical, Emotional and Environmental Impacts of Racism."

The Cleveland State women’s basketball team is closing in on greatness this season, breaking a forty year old regular season wins record set in 1982-83. Destiny Leo, the Horizon League's player of the year, is anchoring the run. She took time out with The Stater to answer the tough questions like, “What’s your Chipotle order?”

With spring break approaching, students have an opportunity to start their break on a high note with these events happening around CSU.

“CSU students can expect a week full of opportunities to connect and engage with different departments and staff throughout campus,” Samantha Broaddus, Assistant Director of Campus Engagement, said regarding the event.
