CAB hosts fourth annual spirit week at CSU
Cleveland State University's Campus Activities Board kicked off its fourth annual spirit week Monday in the Student Center Atrium.
This year’s camping-themed spirit week features a week of events inspired by the outdoors.
Students attending Monday's opening event received a ticket they could exchange for a campfire-style cupcakes.

The event also included two rounds of Blooklet trivia with environmental questions and playful animal puns like “What do you call a bear with no teeth?” The first place winners of each round both received a $25 Amazon gift card.

CAB’s annual spirit week is designed to engage the CSU community in activities while boosting school spirit.
“We’re just trying to do things that are fun for the students,” said Ashley Solis, Prime Spirit Chair on the Campus Activities Board.
With this being Solis’ first year planning spirit week, she made sure to create a fun experience for students outside of the classroom while also finding ways to improve student life.
“We're trying to up the amp on everything,” said Solis. “(We want) to get people really hyped about just being a CSU student.”
Events are continuing throughout the week. On Tuesday an arts and crafts session was held in the SC Atrium and a field day is scheduled from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday on the Washkewicz lawn.
CAB is also hosting a giveaway on Instagram, giving participants the chance to win items such as an iPad, a Nintendo Switch, school supplies and much more on Oct.2.
Spirit Week winds up Friday with “A Night Under the Stars” from 7-9:30 p.m. on the Washkewicz lawn. Students can enjoy face painting, snow cones and other free items.
