4 things to do around CSU week 9
Week 9 of the fall semester is full of things to do around campus, from speed mentoring to celebrating Diwali, the Indian festival of lights.
- Tuesday 10/21 - Speed Mentoring
Join University Marketing for a speed mentoring event from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in BH 135. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with potential mentors.
- Tuesday 10/21 - Women’s Week: Women United
Stop by the CSU ballroom from 3 to 7 p.m. for a day supporting women’s empowerment, hosted by New Era Scholars. The event will include a panel discussion, raffles for hair and nail appointments and sound bowl therapy.
- Thursday 10/23 - AI and the Job Search
Join CSU Career Development & Exploration in RW 202 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for an event exploring how AI is changing the job search landscape. The workshop will provide attendees with tips for optimizing a resume using AI systems, utilizing AI-driven tools for networking and enhancing overall job search strategy.
- Thursday 10/23 - Diwali: Festival of Lights
The Indian Student Organization will host a celebration of Diwali, a festival in Indian culture that celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It will take place in Student Center Ballrooms C and D from 5 to 10 p.m., and will include cultural performances, food, activities and the lighting of diyas, or oil lamps.
