Students took advantage of the sunny but chilly and breezy Wednesday afternoon to relax at the end of semester during the  third annual CarniVike event.

Hosted by CSU's Division of Hospitality Services, CarniVike is an event open to CSU students and other members of the Cleveland State campus and community, featuring a carnival-like atmosphere, attractions, food and games.

Hospitality Services handed out Carnival cards at check-in to encourage attendees to visit and collect stamps from the different tables run by the 21 different community sponsors in attendance. Based on the amount of stamps a student collected on their card, they had a chance to win various prizes, including:

  • 10-12 Stamps: $50 gift card, Kindland gift basket, CSU gift basket
  • 13-18 Stamps: Weekend pass/ individual screening tickets to Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival, mountain bike
  • 19-22 Stamps: iPad, Fall 25 Parking Permit

Despite the chilly conditions, CarniVike 2025 was a successful event that put smiles on the faces of attendees both young and old.

“It’s too cold for this,” an attendee shouted, laughing as they crawled out of the inflatable obstacle course.
