The Cleveland State fencing teams had a mixed result at the DeCicco Duals on the weekend at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. 

The men’s and women’s teams competed in 13 matches. 

The men finished 3-3, defeating the University of Detroit Mercy’s team, as well as the University of Florida and Wayne State University club teams. 

The women’s team finished 3-4, defeating the University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Florida and Wayne State University club teams, finishing with a 17-10 win over the latter in the eighth and final round of the meet. 

Next, the Vikings will compete at the Northwestern Duals on Sunday, Feb. 2 in their final dual before the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference Championships and NCAA Regionals.
