
Cleveland State Women's Basketball Defeats Youngstown State
The Vikings added yet another victory to their season this past Thursday against Youngstown State with a finishing score of 67-53.
The momentum was high throughout the game as the Vikings trailed by three points at the end of the first quarter. CSU took advantage of the 24 points they had in quarter two and started off half-time with a lead of 32-20.
The Vikings used a 5-1 run over the first 1:17 of the second half to keep the lead. A trio of Mickayla Perdue free throws, while back-to-back baskets from Sara Guerreiro and Jordana Reisma later extended CSU's lead.
Cleveland State carried their momentum into the third quarter with an 8-2 run into the start of the frame. The Vikings lead was extended even more as Destiny Leo hit a three-pointer, ensuring the possession, extending the Viking lead to 43-22.
The Vikings controlled the play throughout the remainder of the game, defeating Youngstown with a 67-53 victory.
