Vikings sweep final home matches against Chicago State, Mercyhurst

CSU men's tennis wrapped up its home schedule with dominant wins over visiting Chicago State and Mercyhurst, improving to 5-0 in Horizon League play.

Cleveland State men's tennis team played their last home matches Saturday, with a pair of 7-0 victories, sweeping Chicago State and Mercyhurst at the Medical Mutual pavilion. 

The Vikings are now 9-11 for the year and 5-0 in Horizon League play. 

The Vikings grabbed both doubles points, with Lincoln Battle and Devin Boyer coming through with big wins at the top of the lineup.

In singles play, Battle, Carl Gedlitschka and Nico Jamison all went a perfect 2-0 on the day, while Boyer, Cole Chappell and Maxime Aremon notched wins against Mercyhurst.

Cleveland State closed out its home slate with an 8-3 record, including a 4-0 record against Horizon League opponents.

Next up, the Vikings hit the road this weekend for matches against Northern Kentucky and IU Indy.
