CAB prepares for CSU’s 2nd annual spirit week
Cleveland State's Campus Activities Board is “turning back the clock” and celebrating spirit week all next week with “Y2K” themed events and giveaways.
Cleveland State University is kicking off its second annual spirit week on Oct. 2.
CSU’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) is preparing for a week-long celebration of students, faculty and staff, “turning back the clock” for a “Y2K” themed spirit week full of various events and giveaways.
- 10/02 - Giveaway and Y2K Cupcakes
For the opening event of spirit week, CAB is providing a sweet treat as well as giving away T-shirts and crewnecks in the Student Center Atrium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 10/03 - Instagram Giveaway
An online giveaway is happening on Oct. 3 and it will be conducted through CAB’s Instagram. Students are encouraged to repost CAB’s spirit week post in order to have a chance to win a “Y2K” themed basket. The winner will be announced the following day.
- 10/04 - “Mean Girls” Movie Night
On Wednesday, all are encouraged to wear pink in honor of CAB’s “Mean Girls” movie night. The movie will be played at the Washkewicz Lawn from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and anyone wearing pink will be entered to win a raffle basket themed around the movie. Popcorn, candy and drinks will also be available. Plan to be there early because the first 100 attendees will receive custom CAB “Mean Girls” blankets!
- 10/05 - Women’s Soccer vs. Youngstown State
For Thursday’s festivities, CAB is hosting a raffle for a gym-themed prize basket at the women’s soccer game as well as putting on a special halftime show in partnership with CSU’s Greek Life. Come watch the Vikings take on the Youngstown State Penguins at Krenzler Field at 7 p.m.
- 10/06 - Final Party
To close spirit week, CAB will have a final party to end the festivities from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center. Pizza will be provided from Rascal House and there will be more chances to win different themed prizes. Anything Airbrushed will be at the event making personalized airbrushed T-shirts for students.
