As March begins, week eight at CSU brings opportunities for volunteering, fundraising, learning new hobbies and an entertaining show before spring break comes around.
- Monday 3/2 - Aid Baskets
From 12 to 1:15 p.m., students can attend this volunteer event to assemble aid packages for underserved communities in Cleveland. Hosted by Red Cross at Cleveland State, the Aid Baskets event is happening at the College of Health, Rm 104. Packages will include essentials such as hygiene products and canned foods.
- Tuesday 3/3 - NSBE Bake Sale Fundraise
Hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers, the NSBE Bake Sale Fundraiser is taking place from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center along the inner link. Students are encouraged to grab some goodies on their way to class and they will get answers to any questions they may have about NSBE. You can expect chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies and tea.
- Wednesday 3/4 & Thursday 3/5 - Stitch and Chat
Hosted by the Cozy Stitch Club, students who love to crochet or knit, want to learn how to, or just want to learn more about this club are invited to join a relaxing Stitch and Chat event in room BH 304 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students are encouraged to bring work in progress projects and ask questions. Seasoned crocheters and knitters will be there to teach and will also provide beginner crochet kits.
- Saturday 3/7 - Improv Showcase
The Cleveland State Improvisation Group will host an Improv Showcase in TA 521 from 7 to 8 p.m. Club members will take audience suggestions and perform a selection of improv games. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event is free and open to CSU students and the public.
