4 things to do around CSU week 5

Week five of the fall semester is full of things to do around campus, from learning a new craft to lending a hand in the community.
  • Tuesday 9/23 - Stitch and Chat

Grab some yarn and join the Cozy Stitch Club for conversation and crochet from 12 to 1 p.m. in BH 304. All fiber arts and skill levels are welcome. Want to learn but don’t know where to start? Seasoned crocheters and knitters will be there to teach. Beginner crochet kits are included. 

 

  • Thursday 9/25 - Trivia Meeting

Join CSU Academic Challenge, an organization which uses National Academic Quiz Tournament questions to learn about a variety of topics, for a tournament-style trivia practice in BH 440 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. 

 

  • Thursday 9/25 - Resume and Career Fair Prep

Stop by RW 202 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a session centered on how to land an internship or job, hosted by CSU Career Development & Exploration. This event will explore best practices on upgrading a resume and strategies to maximize your career fair experience. 

 

  • Thursday 9/25 - Operation Love

Stop by the Norma Payne Women’s Center at 2227 Payne Ave. for Operation Love from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. New Era Scholars will be providing hot meals, coats, hygiene kits, pillows, covers and resources for CSU students and the surrounding community. Volunteers are also welcome to donate their time or resources.
