The second week of September offers students the chance to network, play games, meet mentors, watch sports and engage in campus activities.
- Wednesday 9/9 - College Fest
Students can connect with employers and organizations from across Greater Cleveland at College Fest 2026 on Sept. 9 at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Hosted by the Cleveland Talent Alliance, the event will feature more than 80 employers and organizations, along with free food, swag and opportunities to explore careers in Cleveland. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is free for students.
- Friday 9/11 - Volleyball vs Valparaiso
Cheer on the Cleveland State volleyball team as they take on Valparaiso on Sept.11 at Woodling Gymnasium. The match begins at 5 p.m. as part of the team’s Welcome Back Bash. Fans can receive a schedule poster, while students can get food and Viking horns. Tickets are here.
- Friday 9/11 - Welcome Back Picnic
Kick off the semester with the annual Welcome Back Picnic on Sept.11 at Washkewicz Lawn. Hosted by the Association for Biomedical and Chemical Engineers, get together with students, faculty and staff for food and games. Attendees can also reconnect with mentors and learn more about the organizations. The picnic runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. RSVP for the event
- Sunday 9/13 - Men's Soccer Club vs Ohio University
Spend your Sunday enjoying a day full of soccer at Krenzler Field on Sept. 13. The event will feature a matchup between Ohio University and Case Western Reserve University, followed by Ohio University taking on Cleveland State University. The games run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
