CSU woman’s soccer loses to BGSU, 2-0

Bowling Green started off strong by stealing the lead and scoring in the first half, a lead they cemented in the second half.

Cleveland State women’s soccer fell to Bowling Green State University, 2-0, at Krenzler Field Sept. 8.

The BGSU Falcons had the only goal in the first half in the 32nd minute with Emma Stransky (33) scoring the goal. They then scored an insurance goal in the 83rd minute where Aliana Uncapher (12) finished off a cross for the win.

Cleveland State's Madison Ott (0) helped fight back against BGSU by making four saves in the afternoon. For the Vikings, Mayra Sesmas (11) and Eleanor Simkonis (27) led in shots on goal, with Sesmas having two and Simkonis having one.

CSU begins a three-game road swing starting with the final non-conference game of the year at Akron on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at the FirstEnergy Stadium.
