“Overall, we are focused on advancing gender equity on CSU’s campus to the benefit of all members of the CSU community,” said the center's assistant director Evie DuVernay.

The Cleveland Guardians have their home opener for the 2023 season this Friday, but before that CSU will be hosting many other events on campus.

“I wanted to establish a place where women are safe and can have fun,” said Ramandeep Arora, chair of the Campus Activities Board.

“It is our hope that this will be a great opportunity for survivors to feel supported, heard and seen by the campus community,” CSU’s Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center assistant director, Evie DuVernay, said.

Cleveland State University's fourth annual Project 400 Our Lived Experience hosted a series of panels Feb. 24 to discuss issues facing Black communities in Cleveland as part of Black History Month. Discussions centered around the theme of, "Our Bodies, Our Minds, Our Communities: Physical, Emotional and Environmental Impacts of Racism."

With spring break approaching, students have an opportunity to start their break on a high note with these events happening around CSU.

“CSU students can expect a week full of opportunities to connect and engage with different departments and staff throughout campus,” Samantha Broaddus, Assistant Director of Campus Engagement, said regarding the event.
