The 88th annual Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards honored five authors in fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and celebrated lifetime achievements. The awards ceremony was held at the Maltz Performing Arts Center on Sept. 28.

Students living at The Edge or The Langston had the chance to take part in the free event, with the opportunity to donate nonperishable goods to Lift Up Vikes food pantry and, if they chose to do so, donate their plush bears to the Children's Center of Medina County.
