From a sweet fundraiser to a celebration of Lunar New Year, here are just a few things to do around CSU this week.
- Mon. 2/05 - Valentine’s Fundraiser
Cleveland State’s own majorette team, the Vikingettes, are selling flowers, treats, bears and mugs to raise money for the organization from 11:40 a.m. to 4 p.m. along the Student Center innerlink. Stop by and grab an early Valentine’s gift for your sweetheart!
- Tue. 2/06 - Trans Feminine Coffee Hour
The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center and LGBTQ+ Student Services are hosting a coffee hour for people in the community to connect and have discussions. The event will be held in BH 142 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m with both coffee and tea provided.
- Tue. 2/06 - Muggle Madness
The Campus Activities Board is going all out with this night of enchanting celebration and dance in the Fenn Tower Ballroom from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear formal, ball attire. CSU students are allowed free entry, with guests paying a $5 entry fee. Attendees can win raffle prizes and treats will be provided. - Thu. 2/08 - Lunar New Year
Hosted by the International Students Association, this celebration of the Lunar New Year is open to both international and domestic students — especially ones who want to learn more about the Lunar New Year and its culture. This event takes place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in BH 411 with food and beverages provided.

55 high school teams competed for top robot at the 25th annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Buckeye Regional competition at the Wolstein Center from March 20-23.
Over 100 vendors attend CSU career fair
The Career fair has become one of the biggest events each year at CSU. Career Development and Exploration hosts the fair, which this year brought together potential employers with students on March 7, 2024. One hundred and twenty-five employers, 275 recruiters from industries across the region, and 16 school districts were represented. A third of the employers said they were open to hiring international students.
