U.S News & World Report recently rated CSU's Levin College one of the best in the nation in select areas.

Levin College ranked as leading graduate school in urban policy

U.S. News & World Report recognized Cleveland State's Levin College of Public Affairs and Education as one of the nation’s best graduate schools in urban policy, ranking the program at No. 4 nationally.

CSU’s Levin College of Public Affairs and Education has been rated a top graduate school in select categories by U.S News & World Report in its annual university rankings.

Nationally, Levin's urban policy program ranked No. 4 (No. 1 in Ohio and the Midwest) and local government management ranked No. 12 (No. 1 in Ohio). Public affairs was at No. 57 and education at No. 148.

Levin College's Dean Jill Gordon, Ph. D., congratulated the faculty and staff in an email sent Tuesday, and noted that education had jumped to No. 148 from last year's ranking of No. 163.

“For the three months that I have served as your Dean, I have been genuinely amazed by the world-class educational experiences offered by Levin College,” Gordon said. “I am awestruck by the work and contribution of each of you and humbled by your national recognition.”

Overall, Cleveland State University ranked No. 320 in National Universities, No. 172 in Top Public Schools, and No. 11 in Ohio universities.

U.S. News & World Report publishes their college rankings every year, ranking hundreds of programs and thousands of universities and schools. U.S. News gathers its data from the schools and from government organizations.

The good news for Levin may also be good news for CSU, which is grappling with declining enrollments and a ballooning budget deficit.
