"Best Of" The Cleveland Stater Spring 2025 #2

In the Spring edition of "Best Of" The Cleveland Stater, we look into the SGA listening sessions, federal stop work order and golf's discontinuation. We also highlight star student Gabriel Delgado and bid farewell to the law school's Dean Lee Fisher.

In this edition of the “Best of” The Cleveland Stater, Jane Matousek takes a detailed look into the “What does it all mean?” SGA listening session, where President Bloomberg and university leadership addressed issues such as Senate Bill 1. Lainey Novak reports on the effect a stop work order from the Trump administration had on Levin College. Anthony Reed takes an exclusive look at the women's golf team following the program’s discontinuation from sports. In our “People of CSU” section, Jane Matousek highlights Gabriel Delgado, a sophomore videographer on the rise. And finally, Jordan Shelton interviews the law school’s Dean Lee Fisher ahead of his move to Baldwin Wallace.

The SGA hosted “What does it all mean?” listening sessions March 18, in which President Bloomberg and additional administrative leadership listened to student concerns and answered questions regarding SB1, immigration enforcement, DEI and LGBTQ+ worries.

After the Trump administration cut funding to Levin college’s Urban Network for Innovation and Teacher Education program (UNITE), CSU stepped in to support affected students by internally funding the stipends for those impacted for the remainder of the spring semester.
