Cleveland State's Campus Activities Board (CAB) brought desserts and the pups from CITY DOGS to the Student Center, Tuesday, Feb. 13.
CITY DOGS brought three pit bull terrier mixes to the event to help students destress and get people thinking about adoption. Those who attended were also encouraged to help themselves to cookies and brownies.
Students also had the opportunity to enter a raffle, with a chance at winning a Rune plush.
CITY DOGS is a volunteer group of the Cleveland Animal Care and Control (CACC). The mission of CITY DOGS is to prepare adoptable dogs for their future homes, create opportunities for the public to meet the adoptable pups and change the image of pit bulls, the breed which makes up most of the Cleveland kennel’s population.
Students who attended the event were required to sign an online waiver that CAB and CITY DOGS are not responsible for any biting or injury caused by the dogs.
CAB's next event is Give Back CLE, an annual fundraiser for the Cleveland community on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center atrium.
