“This concert has become a way for all of us to come together for one night and carry on the music in their honor,” said Anna Skalicki, a senior CSU studio art major.
Ph.D. candidate Anita Dhara studies how molecules in red blood cells could help patients with sickle cell anemia and beta thalassemia breathe easier and reduce painful symptoms.
“It's important in Cleveland because a lot of people that might not have opportunities elsewhere get them here,” said John Templeman, Director of Annual Giving at CSU. “I think (Giving Day) makes a real difference in a lot of people's lives.”
The new student organization aims to build student-led organizing, foster political education, and connect Cleveland State students with regional activism efforts.
CSU students need clear information about their rights and safety as immigration enforcement in Ohio and nationwide raises concern, particularly for international and migrant students.
