Cleveland State is full of spring celebrations this week, from the eclipse to baseball.

4 things to do at CSU

Monday's total eclipse begins a week of celebration at Cleveland State! Join in the fun with these four things to do this week.
  • Monday 4/8 - Solar Eclipse

This rare occurrence will be passing over parts of the U.S. on Monday, with Cleveland directly in its path. The partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m. The total eclipse, when the moon will block all sunlight, lasts four minutes  from 3:13-3:17 p.m. The event ends at 4:29 p.m. when the moon no longer blocks any part of the sun.

  • Wednesday 4/10 - Celebration of EID

Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. EID begins with break fast on the arrival of the crescent moon. CSU's Pakistan Student Association is hosting Wednesday's event, which includes prayer and a celebratory meal, from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

  • Friday 4/12 - Spring Fest

Cleveland State’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) is taking over Washkewicz Lawn for another year of Spring Fest — or this year, Emo Fest. With live performances from local bands, CAB is promising a night of nostalgia. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Friday.

  • Saturday 4/13 - CSU Baseball Club vs. Edinboro University

At League Park on Saturday, Cleveland State’s Baseball Club is taking the plate against Edinboro University. The game will begin at 11:00 a.m. with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. The first 100 students to arrive will receive an exclusive CSU x Guardians jersey, and all CSU students in attendance will receive free hot dogs, chips and drinks, courtesy of Viking Food Co. To get you to the game, a shuttle service will be running from Fenn Tower beginning at 10:15 a.m. and continuing until 11:30 a.m. Return shuttles will run until 1:45 p.m.
