4 things to do around CSU, the first week of fall 2024

CSU students are back on campus for the fall semester. Here are some things to do around Cleveland State the rest of this week.
  • Thursday Aug. 29 - African Studies Welcome-back Mixer

    The Department of Africana Studies is hosting a welcome-back mixer from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Howard H. Mims African American Cultural Center in Berkman Hall 137. New and returning students will learn about the activities that can align their interests with the history and culture of Africans, African Americans and Africans in the diaspora through work that is done in the cultural center.
     

  • Thursday 8/29 - Cornhold Tournament

    The Entertainment and Sports Law Association (ESLA) is hosting its annual cornhole tournament fundraiser on the Law Atrium lawn from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission into the tournament is $15 per person and $30 per team.
     

  • Thursday 8/29 - Pre-professional Student Orientation

    CSU Career Development and Exploration is holding a pre-professional student orientation in SC311 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The orientation invites students intending to pursue Pre-Anesthesiologist Assistant, Dental, Medical, OT, PT, PA, Pre-Law, Optometry, Pharmacy, SLP/AUD and Veterinary programs to attend. 
     

  • Friday 8/30 - Men's Soccer v. Chicago State

    The CSU men’s soccer team will take on Chicago State at 7 p.m. at Krenzler Field. Admission is free for students.
