Six affordable places near CSU to get good grub and coffee
There are many local businesses throughout Cleveland and near Cleveland State University's campus where students can go to enjoy an affordable, and most importantly, tasty meal.
Not only is price important to students but there are also many places that offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options near campus.
Here are six places where students can go to get some good grub and coffee:
Superior Pho

Superior Pho is an award winning Vietnamese restaurant that is known for their pho noodle dishes. The restaurant also offers other dishes such as bánh mì — a roasted pork sandwich with paté, mayonnaise, cucumbers, pickled carrots, daikons (a type of radish) and jalapeños. They also have vegan and vegetarian options like their tamarind noodle soup with tofu. Superior Pho is a great restaurant to go to satisfy that noodle craving. It is both affordable and not far from campus.
Ha Ahn

Ha Ahn offers Korean and Japanese cuisine. Located inside the strip mall across from Superior Pho, they offer a variety of meals such as sushi and traditional Korean meals like bibimbap which includes sautéed veggies, egg, rice for the base and ground beef. This tiny, cozy restaurant offers various dishes ranging from soup to one pan meals and also offers vegan and vegetarian options.

Grumpy's Cafe is an American comfort food restaurant. This cafe offers a variety of meals ranging from eggs Benedict for breakfast to quesadillas for lunch or dinner. They also offer seasonal food and seasonal beverage items as well. Grumpy's also has vegetarian and gluten-free options, and may offer substitutes for dishes.
After all that grub, dessert is a must have, or maybe you just need that morning pick-me-up. There are many coffee shops that are not far from CSU's campus that are also affordable.

Civilization is an old-fashioned, cozy coffee shop located in the Tremont area across from Corner 11. This coffee shop offers various types of coffee from iced mochas to hot drip coffee. The coffee shop also offers homemade, delicious baked goods such as croissants and cinnamon rolls. They even have gluten-free bakery options.

The Loop

The Loop is a coffee shop also located in the Tremont area, but it is not just a regular coffee shop.
