
CSU’s cross country places seventh at All-Ohio Classic
Cleveland State’s cross country team placed seventh overall at the All-Ohio Classic in Cedarville, Ohio, on Friday, finishing with a team time of 1:59:21.
The team had an average time of 23:53 and an average mile of 6:25. CSU's top five finished within 1:55 of one another.
Host Cedarville University took first place, with Cleveland's John Carroll in second and Ohio Wesleyan in third.
The All-Ohio Classic was the first 6K of the season for the cross country team.
"We had a great team effort tonight, finishing three spots higher than last year," Coach Jason Hudson said. "The team handled the large field size and the heat well during the first 6K of the year."
CSU’s top finisher was Natalie Keller who placed 19th overall with a race time of 22:49.9. Keller placed fourth among the D1 runners.
Ana Crangle came in 31st at 23:11.7, Deena Ingrassia placed 77th at 24:10.4, and Sage Colon was 90th with a time of 24:23.5.
Kayla Crissman (24:44.8) was 102nd, Annabelle Crissman (24:47.8) was 105th, Madison McGarrah (24:54.7) was 114th, Madeline Crissman (26:22.3) was 174th, Sophia Ngetich (27:05.8) was 201st, and Aubrey Evans (27:35.2) was 215th.
Up next, Cleveland State will attend the Joe Paine Invite on Oct. 3, hosted by Notre Dame.
