The Cleveland Community celebrated its 19th annual Day of the Dead, Nov. 4, 2023, at the Cleveland Public Theatre, Church, Parish Hall and surrounding areas in Cleveland's Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood.
Cleveland State’s Viking Food Co. served Thanksgiving dinner early, on Nov. 9, in the Viking Marketplace to students and members of the public looking to celebrate the much-loved feast on campus.
A warm welcome and serving stations laden with food greeted attendees. Students had to use one swipe upon entry, while non-CSU students were asked to pay a small fee for the event which ran from 4-8 p.m.
CSU Resident Life held their latest trivia night, on Tuesday, at the Viking Public House at Cleveland State University.
The topics for the night included sports and musicals as well as the typical closer, ‘Name that Tune.’
The winning team was Taylor Lewis-Kerslake, Kat Magalski and Nate Previts.
VPH hosts trivia night every second Tuesday. Entry is free for you and two of your friends. Each member of the winning team receives a $15 Viking Dining Dollar gift card to use across campus.
CSU Police Department's therapy dogs Rune and Thor now have their own plushes which students can purchase at Viking Outfitters, the campus bookstore.
Students were lining up to welcome fall on Wednesday, at the "Fall Into CLE" event, the CSU Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosted in the Student Center atrium.
CSU's Helping You Through Peer Education (H.Y.P.E) team on Oct. 17 hosted Spooky Land in the Student Center Atrium at Cleveland State University.
The H.Y.P.E team gave Cleveland State organizations the chance to share educational information about Halloween with students. They provided students with candy, music, games and spooky decorations. Students were encouraged to wear their best costume and enter to win prizes.
The event, on Sept. 21, featured multiple student organization tables, student-made artwork and a thrift swap.
