"We believe that as CSU rises, so does northeast Ohio,” Cleveland State's head of marketing, Dr. Roy Gifford, said after the launch of the school's new logo in spring 2023.

The number 10 is what police know about. There were six additional attempted thefts as well. The 10 stolen cars were all either a Kia or Hyundai.

“It reminded me how much I love the art of performing and bringing such amazing stories to life,” Kierstan Conway, a recent Cleveland State graduate, said about the festival.

"While at Cleveland State University, student-athletes have been able to achieve tremendous academic success, and it is our hope that the academic center renovations will further encourage these scholarly achievements," the Deckard family said in a CSU news release.

Alec Popivker, a regular at Cleveland State University's courtyard, was arrested by the university’s police department on Jan. 25 for violating a protection order connected to a CSU student.

Extensive flooding in Cleveland State's main library over the winter break destroyed books and temporarily shut down the library while cleanup crews worked to limit the damage. As many as 90,000 books were affected.

Cleveland State University celebrated the birthdays of campus companions Rune and Thor with a party, cupcakes and gifts in the form of donations to Lift Up Vikes!, the university’s resource center and food pantry.

“When you plant seeds, do you walk away and say ‘I hope that all works out?’ No,” Senator Nickie Antonio said. “Our democracy is the same way. We plant the seeds but then we have to tend it – we have to take care of it.”

“We want to paint a picture that captures the CSU experience, spirit, emotion and energy,” Roy Gifford, vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Cleveland State, said in a news release.
