Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus
We all know the power of The Cleveland Orchestra, but what about the voices behind the music? Dr. Lisa Wong joined The Stater Scoop to celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.
Dr. Wong explores where her love for music originated and shares details of her time as a professor at The College of Wooster. The Cleveland Orchestra was founded in 1918, building a history that spans more than a century. Celebrating 75 years of choral excellence on Oct. 24, the orchestra marked the occasion with a program featuring Grammy Award-winning conductor Eric Whitacre.
As the orchestra and chorus prepare for Franz Welser-Möst’s retirement at the end of this season, Dr. Wong wants to continue striving for excellence while maintaining that standard for the new music director.
