CAB hosts Spring Fest inside Student Center

Cleveland State University held its annual Spring Fest Tuesday, April, 30 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. inside the Student Center. Inclement weather caused the outdoor event to be moved to the indoor facility.

Spring Fest included carnival games, free food, a caricature artist, a balloon artist, face painters, a henna artist, and giveaways including stickers, bracelets and T-shirts.

The Campus Activities Board hosted the event, which Campus Traditions Chair Lindsey Shahan organized.

“This is one of our biggest events of the entire year” she said. “Usually we host it outside and have actual carnival rides but due to the weather [we] had to move it inside, so for having to move it inside, I think it went pretty well. We had an overall circus theme going on and I feel like a lot of students really enjoyed it.”

Cleveland State sophomore Aurora Harris, 19, a journalism major and communications minor, attended the event and said she was a big fan.

“I always try to attend all the events on campus,” Harris said, “but this was definitely one of my favorites. I took advantage of the free snow cones and got a really funny caricature of myself drawn.”
